RF Design Engineer In-Building Systems

Join the National In-Building PMO RF Design team and contribute to the foundation that keeps Telecommunications ahead of the competition. In this role, you ll design and oversee the implementation of enterprise in-building projects and distributed antenna systems (DAS). This is a high-impact position requiring collaboration with submarket teams, enterprise sales teams, and senior leadership while developing executive dashboards and presentations.

• Review and evaluate in-building designs using iBwave and ensure compliance with RF project documentation.
• Manage and file regulatory and 911 paperwork for assigned projects.
• Collaborate with experienced RF Design engineers to oversee nationwide in-building system projects.
• Design and optimize RF systems, including DAS and in-building solutions, using tools such as Atoll, iBwave, and MapInfo.
• Create and present executive-level dashboards and reports to senior leadership.

• IBWave Certification or practical experience with IBWave.
• Strong knowledge of FCC Emissions and RF Safety guidelines.
• Proficiency with RF/Regulatory tools like Atoll, Fuze/Siterra, and Roofmaster/Roofview.
• Advanced skills in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
• Expertise in RF System Optimization for Nortel, Nokia, or similar infrastructure.
• Proven understanding of RF engineering concepts and a drive to grow in the field.
• Experience with RAN and DAS OEM systems.
• Familiarity with prediction and mapping tools (e.g., Atoll, iBwave, MapInfo, Windcatcher).
• Ability to manage details, stay organized, and handle tasks in high-pressure situations.

• Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience in telecommunications.
• 2-3 years of experience in RF Design, with a focus on indoor systems.

• Work hours: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (your timezone).
• Locations also open to consideration: Rolling Meadows, IL, and Southfield, MI.
