We are seeking an experienced IT Process Improvement Consultant to join our team. This role will collaborate with departmental leadership to develop and implement transformational initiatives while improving operational efficiency across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with department leadership to develop, track, and implement transformational initiatives
- Identify IT process improvement opportunities and develop strategies to address operational bottlenecks
- Spearhead operational efficiency improvements including formalizing and streamlining procedures and business processes
- Conduct process reviews, SOP reviews, risk profiles, and SLAs to identify risks and opportunities
- Assist in due diligence and operational reviews, formulating recommendations on process improvement initiatives
- Prepare and present business cases, findings, and recommendations in various formats and at various levels
- Compile and track departmental priorities, develop work plans, monitor key initiatives, and escalate issues as needed
- Contribute hands-on involvement in large IT project programs
- Design and implement disciplined scorecards for productivity, service levels, quality, risk, and transaction costs
- Lead change management efforts across the organization
- Minimum 10 years of business experience (MBA preferred)
- LEAN certification / Six Sigma training or comparable qualification required
- Strong analytical capabilities and quantitative skills
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across all levels of a large organization
- Experience with project management and work plan development
- Excellent written, verbal, and digital communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in high-profile, high-pressure environments
- Strong organizational, facilitation, and presentation skills
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio
- Experience translating business needs into functional requirement specifications
- Prior experience in a government agency is a plus
