Our client, a leading global innovator in materials science and advanced chemistry, is seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Lab Technician I to support an increased workload in their Beachwood, OH facility. What You’ll Do
As a Lab Technician I, you’ll assist analytical chemists with key testing procedures and sample prep in a laboratory setting. You'll perform a range of tasks using wet chemistry methods, analytical equipment, and standardized protocols—all while ensuring a clean, safe, and compliant work environment.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Following standard operating procedures and safety protocols to execute assigned lab tasks.
Handling a variety of hazardous chemicals and R&D samples using appropriate PPE and disposal methods.
Performing sample preparation including pipette validation, liquid dilution, solid grinding, and balance verification.
Supporting daily lab operations to maintain compliance with ISO and internal quality standards.
Upholding 5S principles to ensure a well-organized, safe, and clean lab environment.
Qualifications
We’re looking for someone who meets one of the following criteria:
High School Diploma 2 years of relevant laboratory experience
Associate Degree in Chemistry or related field 1 year of lab experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or related science – no experience required
Additional Skills & Requirements:
Familiarity with wet chemistry techniques and analytical instruments
Strong commitment to safety and chemical handling protocols
Ability to document findings and follow precise procedures
Capable of safely lifting up to 50 lbs as part of routine tasks
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced setting
