- This is a contract-to-hire position with a pay rate of $17-$19 / hour based on experience (benefits are available)

Position Overview :
The DME Biller will be responsible for processing durable medical equipment (DME) claims , ensuring timely and accurate billing, and managing payer information updates. This role includes claims follow-up, resubmissions, and collections while maintaining compliance with insurance guidelines and company policies.
Essential Responsibilities :
Manage all phases of billing and collections , including claims submission and follow-up.Work assigned reports, including aging reports (over 120 days), timely filing reports, credit balance reports, and rejection reports .Research and resolve rejected claims , ensuring corrections are made and resubmissions are completed with supporting documentation.Post payments and rejections accurately.Resolve billing inquiries and issues with clients, caregivers, and insurance companies.Contact payers or utilize payer websites to check claim status and reprocess claims when necessary.Update and maintain patient information as required.Assist with cash posting and other reporting tasks as assigned.Perform additional tasks as required by the billing department and management .Position Details :
Full-time position (40 hours per week)Monday – Friday, day shiftOccasional evening and weekend work may be required based on business needsRequired Qualifications :
Three or more years of experience in DME billing and coding .Experience with insurance claims collections .Background in Medicare and / or Medicaid billing .Knowledge of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) billing processes .Experience with EDI transmission is preferred.High school diploma or GED required.Equipment is not provided – candidates must have a working computer and high-speed internet .Additional Information :
