Communications Coordinator
Location/Schedule: Crossnore or Winston-Salem, North Carolina; Full-time, Typical hours are 1st shift, Monday-Friday in office with flexibility to work remotely occasionally. Must be available to work some evenings and weekends as dictated by the demands of the position, including group events. Driving/travel and working outdoor events required.

Education/Experience/Licensure:
- Bachelor’s degree required in Communications or a related degree.
- 2 years’ experience in communications, marketing and/or public relations required.
- A relevant combination of education and experience may be considered.
Skills and Competencies:
- Content Creation & Writing: Excellent written communication, blogging, and editing skills.
- Digital Marketing: Social media strategy, email marketing, newsletter creation, and platform-specific content creation.
- Graphic Design & Layout: Knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, typography, and layout principles.
- Web Management: Basic experience with WordPress, plug-in updates, and event page creation.
- Software Proficiency: Comfortable with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Mailchimp, and social media scheduling platforms.
- Organization & Time Management: Able to juggle multiple projects with competing deadlines.
- Collaboration & Interpersonal Skills: Excited to collaborate with creatives and partner with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, schedule, and publish content for social media platforms and websites.
- Partner with Communications Manager on social media strategy and internal planning.
- Maintain and update websites and event calendars.
- Write and edit blog posts, internal articles, and short web copy.
- Manage e-newsletters from design to distribution.
- Assist with onboarding materials (badges, business cards, branded apparel).
- Support Crossnore’s retail and charter school communications needs.
- Order and maintain inventory of promotional and printed materials.
- Ensure adherence to Crossnore’s branding and style guide.
- Track communication assets using spreadsheets and forms.
- Stay informed on Crossnore’s services and updates to support storytelling.
- Take on additional communication tasks as assigned.

Salary : $44,000 - $49,000
