Job Title: Child Care Associate
Reports to: Director of Operations
Status and Compensation: Part-time employee with compensation between $12.00 - 16.30/hour (depending on experience).
Position Summary: The Child Care Associate is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Little Lions Club at the Crossover Community Center, including but not limited to the welfare, health and safety of the children in their care.
Minimum Qualifications/Job Requirements:
- Resident or willing to move to north Tulsa (if employed full-time).
- Familiarity and appreciation for the vision and mission of Crossover Community Impact (CCI).
- Familiarity with the population and community served by CCI.
- Displays a strong personal faith in Jesus Christ that can impact the children in his/her care.
- Relevant child care experience required
- Highly motivated, well-organized, and detail-oriented and able to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a high degree of professionalism.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others and independently.
- Knowledge and implementation of relevant technology.
- Capable of meeting the physical and mental demands of the position, including prolonged periods of physical exertion including running, lifting and stretching and able to lift more than 40 pounds at times.
- Current CPR/AED/First Aid Certification.
- Member in good standing of a church whose statement of faith is in alignment with Crossover Bible Church’s statement of faith.
- Available to work the following schedule: Monday through Friday from 4pm-8 pm and Saturday from 9 am-1 pm.
Essential Functions:
- Works in a way that fulfills the church-based mission of CCI which includes seeing “our community restored through making disciples while loving and serving our neighbors.”
- Provides outstanding customer service to parents, guardians and children while encouraging participation in programming.
- Caring for members' children, children of guests, and visitors as defined by Crossover’s operating guidelines.
- Supervise and initiate activities to enrich the lives of children according to their age group and individual levels of development.
- Incorporates Bible stories and Christian principles through a variety of age-appropriate activities.
- Explains and enforces safety rules and policies surrounding the Little Lions Club area.
- Carry out appropriate check in/check-out procedures and maintain attendance records.
- Collaborate with other team members and assist with special projects for children.
- Promote good health and hygiene practices with the children.
- Follows required hand washing, toy sanitizing and diaper changing procedures.
- Keep childcare areas clean and clutter-free, disinfecting surface areas and toys as needed.
- Provide parents with feedback regarding their child’s choice of activities during their stay in the Little Lions Club.
- Document any equipment in need of repair.
- Responsible for performing other duties as required to assist CCI in achieving its mission.
Organizational Planning and Management
- Participates in regular organizational and departmental meetings, training, and workshops.
- Record and report statistical information related to fitness programming for children.
