What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Community Partnerships, The Novatio School - $100,000/year USD position at Crossover?
Do you have a passion for driving positive change within Arizona's Latino-Hispanic communities? Join Novatio School, the pioneering virtual bilingual immersion institution, as we transform the educational landscape for Latino-Hispanic families. Our innovative approach offers a culturally rich and adaptable learning environment that fosters both academic success and cultural pride.
We're searching for a dynamic community leader who deeply understands the values and dreams of Latino-Hispanic families in Arizona. This role transcends traditional outreach; it's about becoming a genuine advocate and a respected voice in the community. You are well-connected with local families, cultural leaders, and organizations, and you're driven by the desire to create educational pathways that honor their unique narratives.
At Novatio School, you will spearhead family and community engagement, forge strong relationships, and guide families toward an educational journey that celebrates their cultural identity. If you're passionate about championing educational equity and helping families find a school that truly embraces their heritage, we are eager to meet you.
What you will be doing
- Forging Trust and Connections: Engage directly with families, community figures, and local groups to establish genuine relationships rooted in trust and mutual respect.
- Leading Culturally Attuned Events: Organize bilingual informational sessions and community gatherings that authentically reflect the lives and ambitions of Latino-Hispanic families.
- Guiding Families Through Enrollment: Assist parents through the enrollment journey with compassion and clarity, sharing real-life success stories.
- Empowering Parent Champions: Motivate and support parents to become champions for educational equity, spreading Novatio’s vision within their communities.
- Highlighting Student and Family Triumphs: Celebrate student successes in culturally meaningful ways that foster family pride and community achievement.
What you will NOT be doing
- Engaging in Cold Calls or Scripted Sales: At Novatio, community engagement thrives on authentic connections, not impersonal transactions.
- Being Desk-Bound: This role requires active participation and visibility within the community.
- Concentrating Solely on Enrollment Numbers: Your mission is to cultivate a community of empowered families, not just to boost enrollment.
- Overseeing Academic Operations: Your focus will be on family engagement and community bonds, not on managing educational processes.
- Employing Generic Messaging: Every interaction should be tailored to reflect the unique values and experiences of Latino-Hispanic families.
Key Responsibilities
Foster trust and community engagement by cultivating deep, impactful relationships with families, community leaders, and organizations within Arizona’s Latino-Hispanic communities, guiding them to discover educational opportunities that align with their cultural values and aspirations.
