Assistant Fitness Director
Job Overview
The Fitness Director plays a pivotal role in the overall success of our fitness facility as well as play a vital role in maintaining our vibrant community and delivering a top-notch fitness experience. This position is responsible for overseeing all fitness programs and services, ensuring a high standard of quality and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for fitness, and the ability to motivate both staff and clients. The Assistant Fitness Director will also be instrumental in driving sales and managing operational aspects of the fitness department.
Crossroad Fitness is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Fitness Director to support and manage key areas of our operations. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in fitness management, event coordination, and member services.
Duties
**1. Club Marketing & Promotion**
- Utilize Canva to design promotional materials.
- Manage and grow our presence on social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok).
- Gather and respond to Google Reviews.
- Lead field marketing and organic marketing through photography.
- Design and manage print materials.
**2. Manage Personal Training and Group Fitness Inventory
**3. Smart Start Program Administration**
- Schedule Smart Start events and oversee new member onboarding (including Styku Scans and FSAs).
- Record sales notes in Gymsales and create personalized training prescriptions.
- Ensure smooth integration of new members into the fitness program.
**4. Member Engagement & Follow-Up**
- Manage calls for Smart Start, new personal training clients, and monthly client check-ins.
- Use Gymsales to track member engagement and follow-up activities.
**5. Schedule Management**
- Oversee Datatrak to manage daily closeouts, trainer availability, PT fcancel requests, and event scheduling.
- Ensure accurate tracking of employee activities.
**6. Group Fitness**
- Manage MotionVibe system for class scheduling and performance reports.
- Oversee payroll reports and maintain both digital and printed schedules for group fitness.
- Assist in coordinating class changes, sub requests, and monthly class announcements.
**7. Human Resources**
- Assist in recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and training of new employees.
- Manage quarterly performance reviews and coordinate staff meetings.
- Ensure compliance with training and group fitness checklists.
- Support written coaching and development of staff.
**8. Accounts Receivable**
- Assist with managing past due client reports and collections.
Experience
- Experience in fitness operations or club management.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in software like Canva, Gymsales, Datatrak, and MotionVibe.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to coordinate events and lead team initiatives.
