Crossroads Counseling Inc. was founded in 1990 and is one of the most inclusive dual diagnosis treatment facilities in Clinton, Lycoming, Centre, Northumberland, Columbia, and Tioga counties along with being a Center of Excellence in Pennsylvania. A qualified applicant for the counselor position must have experience providing adolescent substance abuse and family counseling as well as community based mental health experience and possess a Bachelor’s degree. This position requires a valid driver's license due to traveling across Lycoming County.
The primary function of this positions will include providing community- based substance abuse counseling to adolescents and their families in their natural setting. This will include but is not limited to individual and family counseling. The position will require a flexible schedule including evening and weekend work as well as having an on-call crisis component. Salary is based upon experience. The duties include but are not limited to the following:
-providing individual counseling
-provide family counseling
-life skills training
-community and home based therapy
-provide crisis intervention services
-substance abuse documentation
-individual and family treatment plan development
-supportive services
-parenting and education on addictions
-advocacy work
-assessing level of care placement and treatment progress
-communications with outside referral sources
