Company Summary: Crossroads is an Arizona Department of Health Services licensed substance abuse treatment provider with proven expertise in serving men, women, and Veterans with Substance Use Disorder through the provision of high quality, successful, and affordable residential and outpatient recovery programs.
Due to federal contracts the following items are prohibited: Medical/Recreational marijuana, current parole, or probation.
Job Summary: The Behavioral Health Resident Manager is responsible for supporting the Program Coordinator and Assistant Program Coordinator in maintaining facility operations during all operating hours.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· None
Essential Functions:
· Maintains a safe, private, clean, and healthy living environment for residents.
· Conducts room inspections, facility inspections, and reports findings by verbal and documentation.
· Handles new client intakes which includes property search, heat treating of clothing, room, mentor assignments, etc.
· Performs and documents breathalyzer and urinalysis testing, as necessary.
· Assists residents with self-administration of prescribed medications.
· Participates in any required staff meetings, oversights and /or drills; to include clinical and operational oversight as well as fire drills and disaster plans.
· Chaperone clients to offsite appointments.
· May be required to cover additional shifts as needed.
· Perform other duties, as required.
Qualifications:
· Must meet Arizona Department of Health Services personnel member requirements of: at least 21 years old; or licensed or certified under A.R.S. Title 32 and providing services within the personnel member's scope of practice.
· Current CPR/First Aid/Narcan training.
· Current and annual negative TB Test.
· Current and valid Fingerprint Clearance Card.
· Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check performed annually and upon hire, preferred.
· Successfully pass a background check and an Arizona Department of Health Services Adult Protective Services check.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Working knowledge of the 12-step program.
· Knowledge of Computer/Microsoft Office applications.
· Strong organizational skills and the ability to lead and mentor others.
· Ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels, both verbal and written.
· Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Education, Experience & Qualifications:
· Minimum of High School Diploma or GED required.
· 1 to 3 months related experience, and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Work Environment:
· Fast paced behavioral health residential setting.
· Primarily indoors, however, some outdoor work may be requested including during adverse weather conditions.
· Compensation: section 3(m) of the Fair Labor Standards Act permits an employer, under certain conditions, to count as wages, the reasonable cost of furnishing a caregiver employee with board, lodging or other facilities toward its minimum wage obligations, 29 U.S.C. § 203(m).
Physical Demands:
· While performing job duties, the employee is regularly required to sit and speak or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, reach hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and seldom lift and/or move >100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Shift Requirements:
· Morning, evenings, overnights, holidays weekdays and weekends.
Travel:
· Valid AZ Driver’s License.
· May include travel between sites and other locations.
· Local and statewide travel when requested or required.
