What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Machinist position at Crossroads Manufacturing Co.?
We are looking for a skilled CNC Machinist to join our precision manufacturing team. In this role, you will set up, program, and operate CNC machinery to produce high-quality parts, primarily for aerospace and other precision applications.
Key Responsibilities
Machine Setup & Operation:
Configure and operate various CNC machines, including 3-4 axis vertical machining centers, 5 axis mills, and CNC lathes, in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.
Program machines using G-Code, making adjustments as necessary to optimize production efficiency.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on CNC equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal operation.
Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues quickly to maintain production flow.
Quality Assurance:
Conduct thorough quality checks on finished parts to ensure they meet customer and industry specifications.
Maintain accurate production records and complete all necessary documentation.
Safety & Collaboration:
Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines, and communicate effectively to resolve issues.
Technical Interpretation:
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to guide machining processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
Technical Proficiency:
Strong understanding of machining processes and CNC tooling.
Proficient in G-Code programming and familiar with operating CNC machines from systems such as Fanuc, Okuma, Makino, Mikron, or Dmg Mori Seiki.
Experience:
- Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
