Maintenance Technician (Journeyman)

Responsible for performing skilled preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical systems across various industries. This role requires a strong problem-solving ability, manual dexterity, and a comprehensive understanding of technical and mechanical systems to ensure optimal equipment performance and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Equipment Maintenance and Repair: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical systems, ensuring all equipment operates efficiently and safely.

• Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime and extend the lifespan of machinery.

• System Upgrades and Modifications: Recommend and perform upgrades or modifications to equipment to enhance performance and comply with industry standards.

• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs performed, parts used, and equipment status reports.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Demonstrated experience in maintenance roles, with a focus on mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical systems.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment, with the ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.

• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify issues, determine root causes, and implement effective solutions.

• Physical Stamina: Ability to perform tasks that require physical strength, such as lifting heavy objects, and to work in various environments, including confined spaces and heights.

• Certifications: Relevant certifications or licenses in maintenance or related fields are advantageous.
