What are the responsibilities and job description for the Donor Relations Manager position at Crossroads Prison Ministries?
Function: The Donor Relations Manager will work with Vice President of Advancement team to secure funds for Crossroads Prison Ministries by cultivating relationships with donors who have a passion for prison ministry. The Donor Relations Manager will develop and manage a portfolio of donors, creating and implementing a plan for each donor that aligns with their interests and passions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a portfolio of donors and determine giving levels, frequency, and engagement preferences.
- Create a plan for each donor that is driven by that donor’s passions and interests. Execute that plan, including regular and timely reporting back to the donor.
- Conduct initial exploratory meetings with donors and prospects.
- Organize and oversee fundraising events and activities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records in a database, ensure donor gifts are being appropriately attributed, receipted and tracked in CRM database.
- Generate reports on donor activity and fundraising performance.
- Track and analyze donor data to identify trends and opportunities.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as communications and marketing.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed.
- Create monthly reports on donor portfolio progress, including projected vs actual revenue YTD.
- Represent Crossroads at events and donor gatherings, sharing the story of Crossroads to attract new donor prospects and lifting current donors to a new level of giving.
- Perform other major and mid-level donor activities as needed.

Experience:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in business, philanthropy, non-profit management, or other related field, or commensurate experience.
- 5 years of demonstrated success in fundraising. Relevant experience in other related fields.
- Experience in donor CRM systems, including contact management, task tracking, and communications.
- Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows/Office 365 environment
