This position coordinates outpatient and withdrawal management services along with SmartCare data entry.
All applicants must undergo pre-employment drug screening,
which includes testing for marijuana, as well as background checks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for setting up assessments and accepting payment for outpatient services.
Acts as liaison, establishing networks and collaborating with hospitals, community, state, and human service agencies concerning client services and needs.
Completes all data entries from the SmartCare system.
Assists counselors with client intake, transfer, and discharge assessments.
Using available resources, coordinating and maintaining basic client needs (e.g., clothing, medical, judicial, religious, etc.).
Must be able to take vital signs & recognize medical problems.
May be asked to cover shifts in withdrawal management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
None
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
High School diploma or GED and Certified Addiction Technician certification.
Experience:
One to four years of experience in substance misuse or a related field.
Previous case management experience preferred.
Others:
Must understand substance misuse issues, dependency intervention, and treatment delivery systems.
Basic computer skills required.
CPR and first-aid certification (the agency covers the cost of initial training and renewals).
Valid driver's license and insurability.
