Job Description: The Accounts Payable & Reconciliation Specialist will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process and handling account reconciliations. This position is crucial to maintaining accurate financial records for the practice, ensuring all financial transactions are processed accurately and discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and verify all accounts payable invoices, ensuring accurate coding and proper approvals.
- Ensure timely processing and payment of expenses
- Reconcile accounts payable and general ledger accounts regularly, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Work closely with the practice’s leadership team to address any billing or payment-related inquiries.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions in the accounting system.
- Participate in audits and provide supporting documentation as requested.
- Help identify and implement improvements to financial processes for greater efficiency.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in accounts payable, reconciliation, or a similar financial role.
- 2 years of experience in medical billing and insurance coding.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and accounting software (Intermediate Excel Skill knowledge-data analysis and reporting including PivotTable).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial data.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with internal teams and leadership.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a private practice or healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with ICANotes .
