Title: Accounts Payable Coordinator
Reports to: Director of Accounting and HR
General Description of Responsibilities:
The Accounts Payable Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the financial operations of the organization by overseeing the accounts payable process and contributing to broader accounting and administrative functions. Reporting directly to the Director of Accounting and HR, this position ensures accurate and timely invoice processing, maintains vendor relationships, and assists with royalty, and benefit-related duties.
This role requires a high degree of confidentiality, organization, and the ability to interact effectively with internal staff and external vendors in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Specific Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable
- Accurately process all vendor invoices, including collection, coding, and data entry, in accordance with company policies.
- Process weekly payables and manage the distribution of checks and electronic payments.
- Maintain and update vendor records and documentation.
- Review expense reporting for accuracy and policy compliance, and match to credit card statements
- Research and resolve discrepancies or inquiries related to vendor accounts.
Royalty Administration
- Prepare and send correspondence related to author royalty payments.
- Assist with reporting and research related to royalty payment inquiries.
Additional Accounting Support
- Collaborate with the Billing department to reconcile and finalize daily deposit activity.
- Work with the Production team to ensure timely closing of inventory job costing.
- Provide general accounting support, reporting, and research as needed.
- Contribute to various projects or initiatives within the Finance department as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required; preferably in Accounting, Finance, or Business fields.
- 1–3 years of experience in a general accounting or accounts payable role preferred; experience in publishing is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; familiarity with accounting software is preferred.
- Strong math, data entry, and computer literacy skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Team-oriented with a proactive, service-minded approach.

Salary:
Salary Range: $45k-$50k. The position provides a competitive salary based on previous work experience, education, acquired skills, and established relationships. The salary is commensurate with current standards for comparable positions and responsibilities within publishing and other leading not-for-profit ministries. Compensation for every Crossway employee is reviewed and evaluated annually by the Executive Compensation Committee (ECC) of the Crossway Board of Directors.
