About the Role:
You will translate business objectives into clear functional requirements, create detailed documentation (use cases, data mappings, test plans), and facilitate user acceptance testing. You'll partner with technical teams to deliver scalable solutions and ensure a seamless bridge between end-users and developers. Your leadership will be essential in guiding junior analysts and leading client-facing efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather and document functional requirements, use cases, data dictionaries, and test plans
- Analyze current business processes and recommend improvements using BPMN and flow diagrams
- Lead UAT, system testing, and ensure quality assurance practices using tools like JIRA or HP ALM
- Interface with stakeholders to align business needs with technical solutions
- Mentor team members and facilitate effective communication between business and IT
Required Qualifications:
- 8 years of business analysis experience in enterprise/government IT environments
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio)
- Deep understanding of Texas Vital Statistics policies and procedures
- Strong experience with project planning, requirements analysis, data reporting
- Familiarity with tools like Tableau, Cognos, and experience defining KPIs/metrics
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC), and process improvement best practices
