Responsibilities
- Monitors operational processes to ensure all products are manufactured to food safety and quality requirements,
- Updates and maintains all Crown Bakeries' food safety and quality-related documentation
- Completes daily verification of all quality-related operational documentation,
- Manages assigned CBN program manuals, including updating documentation, conducting training, and completing weekly audits,
- Assists FSQA manager in co-packing relationships, including complaint response, sales sample requests, and customer product evaluations.
- Ensures any GMP, food hygiene and safety standards are within compliance.
- Report any food safety incidents (i.e. GMP violations, ingredient and product contamination, metal detection non-conformances, screen or magnet deviancies, glass breakage, and/or pest harborage).
- Conduct all job duties in a safe manner
- Inspect and enforce safe behaviors
- Monitors and verifies prerequisite programs and HACCP activities, including:
- Assisting in mock recalls for incoming raw materials and finished products,
- Assisting with equipment calibration and environmental program requirements, and
- Assisting in cross-training personnel on HACCP, GMP, SPC analytical methods, and all other pertinent programs,
- Collaborative interaction with all departments to promote exceptional quality practices,
- Continuously mentor effectively with leadership and hourly associates to train on quality programs.
- Assists in implementing and documenting customer complaint corrective action(s),
- Audits and documents daily food safety and quality activity in the production area,
- Maintains incoming supplies documentation, including raw material specifications, and assists in acquiring all necessary documentation for trial materials,
- Monitors, analyzes, and reports deviations regarding food safety and quality controls including non-conformances, SPC Matrix, and Sightline Systems Dipix to drive process improvements,
- Assists in the investigation of foreign material and HOLD-related finished products,
- Support manufacturing facility quality systems (FSMA, GFSI, BRC/SQF, FDA, USDA, GMP)
- Participates in all 3rd part audits (including BRC, regulatory, & customer-related)
- Responsible for Customer and Supplier information management (Specifications, Formulas, & COAs)
- Assists with sales sample selection, packing, and shipping as requested,
- Completes Product Sensory evaluations and shelf-life capability studies,
- Participates in research / development projects as requested,
- Participates in customer scorings and product showings as required.

- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe PDF
- HACCP certification completion,
- Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP, BRC or SQF, and OSHA,
- Must have own transportation
- Able to stand for long periods, walk in distance, climb, and lift up to 50lbs,
- Strong written and verbal communication skills,
- Able to make quality decisions based on problem solving and team interaction,
- Able to work cross-functionally as a team in order to complete tasks
- Undergraduate Degree in Agricultural Sciences, Business, Engineer, or Industry specific field of study
- Minimum two years of supervisory experience in food manufacturing facility or related field
