Job Description: Piece Rate Roofer
Reports To: Crew leader/Supervisor
Classification: Non-Exempt
General Description:
We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Field Roofing Piece Workers to join our team in Pompano Beach. You will be responsible for roofing installations and repairs on residential and commercial properties. This position requires working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Key Duties:
- Support the installation of roofing systems.
- Remove existing roofing applications.
- Apply liquid and multi-layered roof coatings/applications.
- Adhere to safety standards relevant to the roofing trade.
- Handle and supply materials or tools during projects.
- Clean work areas, set up ladders, scaffolds, and hoists.
- Prepare roofs for new roofing materials.
- Maintain tools and equipment before and after work.
- Set up safety equipment to protect project sites.
- Transport equipment and materials safely to job sites.
- Complete other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Compliance with Fall Protection/Safety Regulations.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Proficiency in using powered hand tools.
- Ability to stand for long periods and safely climb ladders.
- Tolerance to varying weather conditions.
- Good vision and hearing capabilities.
- Effective verbal communication skills.
- Excellent balance for working on slopes and flat roofs.
- No fear of heights.
- Dependability to meet job deadlines.
