Role
The Manager Accounting acts as a general ledger subject matter expert and is responsible for overseeing various corporate accounting functions, the company-wide close and consolidation process, and preparation of SEC reporting deliverables. This role is also responsible for managing and driving major process enhancements, including cross-functional projects and accounting-related system changes.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and provide leadership for company-wide monthly close process, ensuring financials statements and accounting policies comply with US GAAP.
- Manage team responsible for fixed assets, debt, equity, and various other corporate accounting functions.
- Review and present financial statement variance analysis to senior management.
- Develop, monitor and maintain the Company’s accounting policies in accordance with GAAP and control procedures in accordance with SOX. Guide cross-functional teams’ compliance with accounting policies.
- Partner with the Technical Accounting team on the implementation of new accounting pronouncements by researching, reviewing, and analyzing the applicable accounting guidance.
- Review various schedules used directly in SEC and other public filings.
- Compile and review forecast information for FP&A on a quarterly basis.
- Coordinate and prepare for both internal and external financial audits and act as a liaison to the auditors including managing timetables and deadlines.
- Continually analyze processes for improvements and work with business partners to drive change.
- Act as the accounting liaison in partnership with IT and other resources with regards to accounting-related system changes.
- Build an effective team by creating an environment of accountability and prioritizing employee development.
- Manage ambiguity and operate effectively even when things are not clear or certain.
Exceptations
- Strong knowledge of diverse accounting processes
- Expert knowledge of accounting principles (U.S. GAAP)
- Accounting expertise in basic financial statement fundamentals, ledgers and journal entries
- Experience using accounting ERPs; knowledge of JD Edwards preferred
- Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize, organize, and work effectively in deadline-driven environment
- Effective communication and leadership skills

Education/Certifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- Certified Public Accountant and/or MBA preferred
Experience/Minimum Requirements
- Seven (7) to ten (10) years of combined experience in public accounting and general accounting

Reports to: Sr. Manager - Accounting
Title(s) of direct reports (if applicable): Accountant III
Working Conditions: This role falls into our hybrid work model working in the office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. On Mondays and Fridays, teammates on the hybrid schedule will have the option to work from the office or home. There is an expectation of collaboration with teammates and stakeholders for moments that matter that could require travel.
Compensation:
The pay range offered for this position is $103,200-$141,900 annually. A candidate’s offer is determined by various factors including but not limited to, depth of experience, role-related knowledge and skills, relevant education or training, internal alignment, and work location. Depending on the position offered, the compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of a discretionary annual cash bonus or commissions, and equity incentives. Employees (and their families) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan. Employees will also receive a minimum of 18 days of paid time off each year and 12 paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
