Job Description
Crown Cork & Seal USA, Inc. is seeking a skilled Lacquer Coating Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and proper application of lacquer coating to cans in compliance with quality control specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clearing can jams from Lacquer Spray Machines and upper conveyors.
- Monitoring and maintaining cleanliness of machines, including spray nozzles, turret wheels, lacquer overspray boxes, machine exterior, and general work area.
- Performing routine maintenance, including setting guns, nozzles, can guides, and spray delay.
- Replacing drive and conveyor belts to the oven, tips, rails, guns, lacquer, and vacuum filters.
- Following proper material handling procedures, including disposal of waste lacquer and labeling of waste barrels.
- Assisting other production processes on the Back End to ensure a constant flow of cans into and through the LSM process.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Basic computer skills to perform data entry.
- Ability to learn and interpret SPC data for trends, principles, graphs, and charts.
- Ability to complete and document quality checks.
- Ability to learn the operation, setup, preventative maintenance, and repair of the LSM process.
