Division Overview:
Crown's Food Division is a premier manufacturer of food cans. Our complete array of food packaging serves a variety of markets, including fruit, vegetables, dairy, fish, meat, ready meals, pet food, infant milk powder and other dry food products. We offer a wide selection of food cans from round to bowl as well as shaped cans.
Job Summary:
The Quality Assurance Manager works closely with all aspects of the manufacturing process from the raw material to the finished product and supports daily production activities. This is a managerial position, which would include the daily supervision of Quality Assurance Inspectors on the production floor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise Quality Assurance Inspectors on the production floor
- Ensure quality assurance operational objectives are met by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews
- Develop quality assurance plans by conducting hazard analyses and establishing critical control points and preventive measures
- Validate quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes
- Maintain and improve product quality by completing product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits
- Prepare quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends
- Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferably in Quality or Project Management
- Five to seven year(s) experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment
- Minimum five (5) years hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment with proven Quality Management System oversight capability
- At least three years of proven supervisory experience
Preferred Requirements:
- Packaging industry experience
- ISO background

- Strong administrative, organizational and supervisory skills
- A thorough understanding of Product Development concepts, material properties, and finished product requirements
- A thorough working knowledge of external customer requirements, processes, and expectations
Working Conditions:
- Generally works in a plant environment but will be required to perform some job duties inside a typical office setting
- While performing the duties of this job, the associate may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicular traffic
- The associate may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures
- The noise level is frequently loud
