What You’ll Do:
- Manage Office Operations: Oversee day-to-day business office functions, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with policies and procedures.
- Billing & Collections: Handle Medicare, Medicaid, private pay, and insurance billing; manage collections and resolve outstanding balances.
- Resident Trust Accounts: Maintain and reconcile resident trust accounts in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Admissions & Financial Counseling: Assist with the financial aspect of the admissions process, including benefits verification and financial counseling for residents and families.
- Reporting & Audits: Prepare and submit monthly financial reports; assist with audits and ensure timely documentation.
- Staff Oversight: Supervise and support business office staff, promoting a culture of accuracy, accountability, and professionalism.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work closely with administration, nursing, and admissions teams to ensure a seamless resident experience.
- Experience: Prior experience in a healthcare business office management role, preferably within a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance billing, and long-term care reimbursement practices.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, support, and develop business office staff.
- Detail-Oriented: High level of accuracy and organizational skills in handling financial transactions and reporting.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with residents, families, and staff.
- Tech Savvy: Comfortable using financial systems and healthcare software (e.g., PointClickCare preferred).
