**Job Description**
The Precision Ag Specialist will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful implementation of precision farming systems, providing expert support to customers, and contributing to the overall growth and efficiency of the organization. Key responsibilities include:
- Repair and maintenance of precision ag equipment, including GPS receivers, navigation units, and guidance systems.
- Bill and collect payment for work done and equipment sold.
- Educate and assist customers on the effective use of precision ag equipment.
- Stay current on certifications and educational opportunities.
- Participate in training, technical documentation, and knowledge transfer with other departments.
- Coordinate with field teams to research and resolve field issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To excel in this role, candidates must possess:
- A degree in Agronomy, Ag Business, or Ag Mechanization or equivalent experience.
- A Commercial Applicator's License.
- Previous experience as a Precision Ag Specialist.
- A valid driver's license and ability to travel more than 50% of the workday.
- Working knowledge of Precision Ag systems and concepts.
- Possess sufficient knowledge of crop production science to advise producers on precision farming plans, products, and services.
- Proficient knowledge of electrical and wireless communication systems.
