Sales Agronomist Responsibilities:

• Build and sustain strong relationships with current growers while identifying and cultivating new clients to achieve year-over-year growth.
• Promote and sell agricultural inputs, including seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and equipment.
• Provide education on the proper use and benefits of products and services.
• Conduct field assessments and offer tailored agronomic advice, such as soil testing, pest management, and crop rotation strategies.
• Maintain accurate grower records, including plans, bookings, blends, and crop maps, using specialized software.
• Stay informed on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor offerings.
• Provide feedback to the organization regarding market demands and emerging opportunities.
• Set and meet sales targets while managing a client portfolio.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Sales Agronomist Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, & willingness to travel within territory.
• At least 2 years' experience in sales within ag industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Science, or related field preferred.
• Proficient understanding of agronomy, crop production, soil science, and pest management.
• Technical knowledge of agricultural products and equipment.
• Capable of working independently and managing time effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong sales and negotiation skills.
