As a Sales Agronomist, you will form lasting relationships by getting out in the fields, understanding challenges firsthand, and helping your customers succeed. You will also have the opportunity to grow your client base, leveraging your book of business to expand your reach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build & maintain strong relationships with current & prospective clients
- Conduct sales presentations, product demonstrations, & provide expert agronomic advice & crop planning recommendations
- Drive sales growth by increasing crop inputs & related product sales to existing customers
- Offer expert agronomic guidance & tailored recommendations to customers
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, & competitor activities
- Prepare sales reports & forecasts to align with company objectives
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license & willingness to travel within territory required
- Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Science, Crop Science, or related field
- 2-3 years' experience in sales within ag industry preferred
- Strong knowledge of agronomic practices, crop production, & ag technologies
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required & ability to learn/use Ag software
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
