Description :

The IT Technician 1 is responsible for providing computer and network support to all users within the organization.

Supervisory Responsibilities :

None.

Duties / Responsibilities :

  • Set up equipment for employee use, including proper installation of cables, operating systems, and appropriate software
  • Assist with desktop support for end users; assisting users with software as needed
  • Provide support for additional hardware, software, and network, including printers, scanners, iPads, TVs, Wireless Network, etc.
  • Identifies, researches and resolves technical problems of moderate complexity
  • Responds to telephone, email, and online requests for technical support
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on hardware / software, including updates and patches
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements :

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities :

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to explain technical issues to technical and nontechnical staff and customers.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn a broad array of networking and systems hardware and software.

    • Experience / Education :

  • Associates degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience required
  • At least two years of related experience required

    • Physical Requirements :

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
  • Must be able to traverse the production floor as needed
