We are seeking a dynamic Hotel Group Sales Manager with a minimum of two (2) years hotel sales experience that possesses strong abilities to solicit business, attaining client satisfaction with all functions/groups booked. Must have strengths in achieving sales targets, managing key accounts, and developing strategic business relationships.
Roles and Responsibilities: This job description is not an exclusive or exhaustive list of all the job functions that an employee in this position may be asked to perform from time to time:
- Conduct successful, aggressive solicitation process of new and existing accounts through telephone prospecting, outside sales calls, on-site appointments, email, personalized letters, and virtual tours to maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel.
- Send proposals on all leads which fit the profile of the property and actively follow through to convert from proposal to definite status.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth
- Manage key client accounts and build long-term relationships
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective sales campaigns.
- Attend trade shows, community events and industry meetings.
- Knowledge of market trends, competition and key customers of the hotel.
- Execute contracts, maintain records, log materials used and assure bill accuracy.
- Effectively manage the RFP process.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients
- Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
- Meet and greet clients, interact with guests, assist banquet/hotel employees as needed. Send out post-function surveys, evaluate responses.
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by DOSM/GM/Company.
REQUIREMENTS: Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules (including Holidays and weekends) to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.
- Proven experience in technical sales, account management, or related field.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
- Strong computer literacy with knowledge of Microsoft Office, OPERA and Delphi FDC
- Strong organizational, time management skills, with keen sense of attention to detail.
- Bilingual a plus
- Flexibility to travel and work non-traditional hours as needed.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests, clients, and other team members.
- Maintain professional and friendly demeanor with clients during high pressure events.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
Education: High school or equivalent education required. Two (2) year college degree in sales or hospitality highly desired.
Experience: Minimum (2) two-years of previous hotel sales experience required.
Friendwell Managed Hotels function twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. As a part of the hospitality industry a hospitable service atmosphere must be maintained at all times. All employees are required to project a friendly, welcoming, and positive attitude.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
