What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance position at Crowne Plaza Knoxville Downtown University?
Purpose: To maintain the hotel’s customer and heart of house areas in accordance with company standards by performing preventative maintenance and repairs as necessary.
Role and Responsibilities:
Hotel Maintenance / Engineering
· Electrical – Switches, Outlets, GFCI, Lights, Bulbs, Breakers
· Plumbing – Toilets, Faucets, Shower Cartridges, Drain Snaking, Plunging, Copper Sweating, Supply Lines, Valves, Pumps
· Drywall – Wall repairs ½” and 5/8”, mud, tape, texture
· Painting – Rolling, Brushing, Oil, Latex, Drying Agents, Interior, Exterior, Sanding, Touchups
· HVAC – PTAC (remove/replace), T-Stats, Troubleshoot, Clean, Change/Clean Filters
· Landscaping (Grass/Hedges) – Mowing, Trimming, Weeding, Leaf Blowing, Mulching
· Grounds – Trash Collecting and Emptying, Emptying Dog Station
· Record keeping – Written and Digitally
· Ladder/Lift – 10’ A-Frame Ladder, 20’ Extension Ladder, 16’ Man Lift
· Radio Communications – Speaking Distinctly, Proper Procedures
· CMMS – Complete Work Orders in a Computer System
