Crowther Roofing and Cooling, a Roofing Corporation of America business unit, is one of the largest mechanical contractors in the Southeast and is currently seeking sheet metal mechanics to work on large commercial projects in the Sarasota/Bradenton area. This role requires a minimum of 3 years of commercial sheet metal experience, strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in various environments, often under tight deadlines. Human Resources Generalist
We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our team in our headquarters in Fort Myers, FL. In this role, the HR Generalist will assist with daily internal and external HR-related matters, including workers’ compensation benefits, and leaves, and enforcing company policies and practices. This position is also responsible for Managing the company’s employee database, conducting audits and analysis, compensation structures and maintain HR related metrics, produce and submit reports. This position reports to the Director of HR and will assist with the development of internal control policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Conduct HR metric audits and analyses. Compensation, turnover, EEO1, ACA, OSHA requirements, etc.
- Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes, reference checks, background, MVR, and Drug screenings when needed.
- Assist in developing, executing HR procedures, policies and provide guidance and interpretation.
- Participate in development of HR objectives and systems, including metrics, queries, and ongoing reports.
- Suggest new ideas, procedures and policies for improving employee experience as well as the efficiency of HR department and company.
- Assist in administrative tasks for onboarding, new-hire orientations, and exit interviews, including data entry in human resources information systems (HRIS) and audits for accuracy and compliance.
- Assist with development of formal Pay scale and SOP’s.
- Stay current on the company’s organization structure, personnel policy, and federal and state laws regarding employment practices.
- Monitor HR metrics (e.g. source of hire, time-to-hire, and time-to-fill, etc.)
- Assist with the preparation of annual performance review process.
- Maintain employee files current in HRIS.
- Assist with all internal and external HR related inquiries or requests including benefits, leaves, PTO and other HR related questions.
- Coordinate training sessions and HR/Company communications.
- Conduct entrance interviews and assist with yearly Open Enrollments.
Requirements
- A degree preferred or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 or more years’ experience in Human Resources.
- Proven experience as an HR Generalist.
- Deep understanding and exposure to Labor Law and employment equity regulations.
- Sound knowledge of full-cycle recruiting
- Aptitude in problem-solving.
- Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures.
- Full understanding of HR functions and best practices.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft products is a must.

Location: Onsite at our Fort Myers, FL headquarters. This is not a hybrid position.
Schedule:

Salary : $70,000 - $75,000
