RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversees the review of products offered by vendors, examines supply and equipment requests, and orders supplies and equipment while maintaining price control and quality standards in accordance with established purchasing procedures.
Contacts suppliers around on difficult schedules or expedited deliveries as well as resolves shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other problems.
Ensures accurate purchasing records and costs for monthly account reconciliation and inventory costs/reports.
Helps manages the annual operating budget in order to align strategically with the department.
Reviews the work of assigned purchasing agents.
Performs other duties as assigned.
