Purpose:
The Procurement Specialist is essential for managing procurement activities within our distribution center environment. This role is responsible for supplier and vendor negotiation, onboarding, and budgeting, ensuring that all procurement needs are met efficiently and cost-effectively. This role is critical as we continue to optimize our distribution operations.
Role Responsibilities:

Supplier and Vendor Negotiation:
- Lead negotiations with suppliers and vendors to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement best practices.
- Onboarding:
- Oversee the onboarding process for new suppliers and vendors.
- Ensure that all new suppliers and vendors meet company standards and requirements.
- Facilitate smooth integration of new suppliers and vendors into the company's procurement processes.
- Budgeting:
- Develop and manage budgets for procurement activities.
- Monitor expenditures and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to achieve them.
- Procurement Management:
- Manage the procurement of goods and services that are not directly tied to product manufacturing.
- Ensure timely and accurate procurement to support the distribution center's operations.
- Implement and maintain procurement policies and procedures.
- Supplier Performance Management:
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance to ensure quality and reliability.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and address any issues or discrepancies.
- Work with suppliers to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaboration:
- Collaborate with various departments, including operations, finance, and logistics, to ensure procurement activities align with business needs.
- Facilitate effective communication between internal stakeholders and suppliers/vendors.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the procurement function.

Role Requirements:
- Education: An associate's degree in Business , Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field is preferred.

- Experience in procurement, preferably within a distribution center environment is an advantage.
- Proven track record of successful supplier and vendor negotiations and management.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
