POSITION TITLE
Civil Designer (mid-level)
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receives assignments from senior professional regarding preparation of CAD drawings for various civil projects, including civil/site, airports, transportation, stormwater, water, sanitary sewer, and other infrastructure upgrades
- Assist with preparation of preliminary engineering reports for public infrastructure improvement projects
- Assist with preparation of contract documents suitable for bidding
- Assist with preparation and submittal of permit applications and monitor the review and approval process
- Assist with preparation of erosion and sediment control plans for infrastructure projects
- Perform drafting in AutoCAD and other programs
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent
- 5 years of experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain PE within one year of hire
- Familiarity with land use regulations and permitting
- Familiarity with site plan and public infrastructure design, preparation of specifications, and engineering report writing
- Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MS Project
- Ability to work and communicate in a team environment
- Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
