Job Brief

We are seeking a talented and experienced IT Systems Manager to oversee our organization’s computer systems.

The IT Systems Manager will be responsible for managing and ensuring the efficient and seamless operation of our company’s IT systems.

The IT Systems Manager is expected to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and system requirements.

They will be managing and directing IT personnel, setting company IT policies, and coordinating with other departments to integrate new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the day-to-day operation of computer networks including hardware/software support, training, and special projects.
• Planning and implementing IT initiatives that support business strategies.
• Managing IT budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Implementing and managing security or integrity and backup procedures.
• Scheduling upgrades and security backups of hardware and software systems.
• Guaranteeing the smooth running of all IT systems, including anti-virus software, print services, and email provision.
• Providing secure access to the network for remote users.
• Securing data from internal and external attack.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an IT Systems Manager, IT Manager or similar role.
• Experience in system installation, configuration, and analysis.
• Thorough knowledge of computer systems and IT components.
• Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Very good communication abilities.
• Exceptional organizing and coordinating skills.
• BSc/BA in computer science, IT or relevant field; MSc/MA will be a plus.
• Certification as IT Technician will be an advantage (e.g. CompTIA A , Microsoft Certified IT Professional).
