Responsiblities:
- Interpret cardiac rhythms including slow, fast, and abnormal heart rhythms on transport cardiac monitoring equipment
- Moving stable cardiac patient. (Handoff) RN to RN in-between studies. Moving a stable rhythm patient that has normal heart rate and rhythm back to the patients baseline
- Assists nursing personnel (Passport) to prepare patients for transports, including moving and positioning patients
- Inspects stretchers and wheelchairs for readiness and cleanliness before and after patient transport (assigned stretcher)
Education and Training:
- High school graduation or equivalent
- Successfully complete and pass a two-day transport telemetry course that includes classroom and skill validation (Individuals with EMS background may test out).
