Contents Technician

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Technician to join our contents restoration team. The ideal candidate will have experience as a professional mover or in contents restoration (packing/cleaning). This role requires a hands-on approach to restoring personal belongings to their original condition: it is often quite difficult: the work can be physically challenging, tedious, dirty and conditions can be hot or cold.

Duties

• Smile and talk with teammates, customers, and business partners in such a way that the company's reputation is enhanced.
• Carefully pack and diligently records a homeowner's belongings that are soiled by fire, flood, or other circumstance.
• Physically carry household contents (often heavy) over a distance and up/down stairs; also, load trucks for safe transportation.
• Clean household items, including soot removal and smoke damage repair.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various restoration tasks.
• Adhere to safety protocols for personal protection.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all job sites.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience as a professional mover or performing contents restoration is strongly preferred.
• Outgoing, engaging behavior is essential.
• Relevant certifications in restoration industry are a plus.
• Some skill in using hand tools and power tools for "handyman"-type jobs.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers.
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including lifting heavy materials and working in confined spaces.
• A commitment to safety practices and attention to detail in all aspects of work.

Our work is performed both in our warehouse and in customers’ homes. All employees work in both locations. For this reason, every employee must have their own vehicle and must have a driver’s license.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
