Job Title : Racker - General Labor
Rate :
13 / hr to start, $1.50 raise once hired on
Shift :
1st Shift : 7am - 5pm OR 9am - 7pm - $13 / hr to start, $14.50 / hr once hired on. (lighter weight lifting - up to 35lbs)
Position Type :
Full-Time, Temp to Hire, OT available

Job Summary :
Our Client is seeking Rackers to join their team to assist with the preparation and handling of metal parts in their production process. As a Racker, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently placing parts on racks for processing and transportation through various stages of production. This role is essential to ensuring that parts are properly organized, handled, and ready for further manufacturing or shipping.
Key Responsibilities :
- Rack Parts : Properly place metal components onto racks in accordance with production specifications, ensuring parts are positioned securely to prevent damage during processing.
- Inspect Parts : Inspect parts for quality and defects before racking, ensuring only parts meeting quality standards are processed.
- Material Handling : Assist with the transportation of racks containing parts to designated areas within the facility, using forklifts, carts, or other equipment as needed.
- Maintain Organization : Keep work area organized and clean, ensuring racks are stored properly and accessible for production flow.
- Follow Procedures : Follow established procedures and safety protocols to ensure the correct handling of parts, reducing waste and minimizing the risk of accidents.
- Collaborate with Team : Work closely with supervisors, operators, and other production personnel to meet production goals and ensure smooth workflow.
- Assist with Inventory : Assist with inventory control activities, including counting and tracking parts, as required.
- Safety Compliance : Adhere to all company safety guidelines and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) to maintain a safe working environment.
- Support Continuous Improvement : Participate in team meetings and contribute to suggestions for improving workflow, quality, and safety.
