Job Summary
The Commission Specialist will be responsible for guiding, managing, and overseeing all Cruise Planners franchisees (travel agents) with pricing/commission related knowledge and inquiries.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent client service to franchisees (Cruise Planners Franchise Owners).
- Evaluate and assess agent’s request for E&O claims.
- Manage and process documents to insurance company for E&O claims.
- Manage American Express and Home Office Groups by calculating commission accurately and Tour Conductor for each agent and/or Home Office Team Member.
- Conduct investigations and problem solve issues related to Private groups/reservations from franchisees.
- Evaluate and research all escalations from franchisees including effective resolution for the issue.
- Collaborate on projects with other departments.
- Attend franchisee training as a presenter or as a representative of the department.
- Manage Accounting content for Home Office Distribution.
- Process and post vendor commission payments to reservations entered by franchisee in our CRM system.
- Provide instructional training to the franchisees regarding commission(s) entries into the CRM system.
- Guide franchisees in remitting invoices, W9, bank information, and other documentation to Vendors.

Competencies
- Computer Proficiency: Microsoft (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and internet required, ticketing systems preferred
- Mathematical skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, and to compute rate, ratio, and percentage
- Highly Organized self-starter with the ability to work independently and coordinate/follow-up with multiple priorities
- Time management
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Must have excellent verbal & written communication skills
Requirements
- Associate's/Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 2 years of customer service experience
This is a hybrid role (Mondays and Fridays – remote and Tuesdays-Thursdays on-site)
