Manages events, weddings, planning and sales for Cruiseport a beautiful waterfront venue. Work as a team to implement and manage social and corporate events each year.
Researching markets to identify potential clients
Meet with potential clients for facility tour and consultation of their event. Ascertain
their precise event requirements; including event-type, budget, number of guests, etc
Producing detailed proposals for events (e.g. timelines, venues, suppliers, legal
obligations, staffing and budgets).
Agree to and manage a budget for each event.
Produce a contract and ensure signature by the client and a deposit is secured on a timely
basis
Ensure all insurance, legal, health and safety obligations are adhered to
Coordinate venue management, caterers, contractors and equipment hire
Identify and secure speakers or special guests
Plan room layouts and timing of the entertainment program (Use of Social Tables
software)
Coordinate staffing requirements before, during, and after event.
Coordinate with clients and designers to create a brand / theme for the event.
Coordinate suppliers, handle client queries and troubleshooting on the day of the event to
ensure that the Guest's special event runs smoothly
Oversee the dismantling and removal of the event and clearing the venue efficiently to
return Ballroom to presentation standards.
Create post-event evaluation (including data entry and analysis and producing reports for
event stakeholders).
