Senior Construction Accountant

The Senior Construction Accountant is responsible for the overall accounting function for a construction company. This includes the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and managing AP/AR and assisting the Controller with pay schedules and project reconciliation. The Senior Construction Accountant will also work with the management team to develop and implement accounting policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare financial statements, tax returns, and other reports
• Maintain accounting records and systems
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures
• Work with management team to analyze financial data and make recommendations
• Resolve accounting issues and problems
• Provide accounting support to other departments

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• CPA or other accounting certification preferred
• 3 years of experience in construction accounting working for a GC
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Experience with construction AP/AR 
• Experience with construction pay applications
