Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Manager to help oversee daily store operations and support our mission. The ideal candidate will have a passion for holistic health and wellness, strong organizational skills, and the ability to assist in leading a team while ensuring excellent customer service. This role works closely with the Store Manager (Crunchy Captain) and the Store Owner (Crunchy Commander) to maintain a thriving, welcoming, and well-run business.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership & Team Support:
- Assist the Store Manager in leading and motivating the team to provide exceptional customer service.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork and personal growth.
- Step in as a point of contact when the Store Manager is unavailable.
2. Product & Store Operations:
- Support the creation, packaging, and labeling of in-house herbs, remedies, and store-brand products.
- Assist with inventory tracking, restocking, and product rotation to ensure freshness and availability.
- Help manage store cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health & safety standards.
3. Inventory & E-Commerce Assistance:
- Maintain accurate inventory records and communicate needs for restocking.
- Assist in updating online product listings and ensure accuracy across platforms.
- Support vendor orders and coordinate timely payments with suppliers.
4. Sales & Reporting:
- Run sales reports and assist the Store Manager in tracking sales trends and inventory needs.
- Provide insight on customer preferences and suggest ideas to improve sales and customer experience.
5. Scheduling & Team Administration:
- Help maintain the team schedule, ensuring proper coverage for shifts.
- Assist with timekeeping, payroll approvals, and tracking attendance.
- Support training of new team members, ensuring they understand Crunchy Depot’s mission and operations.
6. Customer Experience & Community Engagement:
- Deliver friendly, knowledgeable service to every customer.
- Assist with social media engagement, store events, and local partnerships.
- Help create a fun and inclusive work environment by supporting employee appreciation efforts.
Requirements:
- Experience in retail, customer service, or leadership roles preferred.
- Passion for holistic wellness, natural remedies, and community engagement.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to problem-solve and assist in store operations with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable working around strong scents from herbs, essential oils, and natural products.
- Ability to lift, bend, stand, and perform retail duties for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
