Chief Technology Officer (CTO) - Hybrid

About the Role:
Crypton is seeking a Fractional Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our technology and product strategy, working closely with the CIO and CISO, while reporting directly to the CEO. As a key member of the executive team, the CTO is responsible for the development and execution of secure, scalable, and innovative SaaS solutions. This includes overseeing the SDLC, implementing Agile frameworks, optimizing CI/CD processes, and leading the product team to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

The CTO will also own the requirements and management of the infrastructure for all products. This includes planning for scalability, licensing, and mitigating outages within Crypton s control to ensure seamless customer experiences. Responsibilities involve assessing and implementing resources needed to avoid performance issues, prevent outages, and support expected growth.

We are looking for a visionary leader with a strong focus on security, the ability to execute roadmaps effectively, and the capability to scale engineering and product teams in a fast-paced SaaS environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Align the technology roadmap with the company s vision and business objectives.

• Partner with the CIO to ensure seamless integration of technology infrastructure and operations.

• Work with the CISO to embed security-first practices across all technology and product initiatives.

• Build and maintain cross-functional relationships between technology, product, and other departments.

• Define and communicate the technology and product vision with clear, actionable roadmaps.

• Lead the product team to deliver user-centric features that align with customer needs and business goals.

• Ensure the product roadmap integrates security, scalability, and innovation at every stage.

• Oversee the end-to-end SDLC process, driving efficiency, quality, and innovation.

• Standardize and enforce Agile best practices for iterative development and fast feedback cycles.

• Develop secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud-based SaaS products.

• Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid, reliable, and secure deployments.

• Recruit, mentor, and retain high-performing engineering and product teams.

• Foster a collaborative and accountability-driven culture across the organization.

• Provide technical guidance to the CEO and executive team, offering insights into emerging technologies and opportunities.

• Represent the company s technology vision to external stakeholders such as customers, partners, and investors, when necessary.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a CTO or in a similar technical leadership role within a SaaS organization.
• Deep understanding of SDLC processes, Agile frameworks, and CI/CD best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience scaling technology and product teams in a high-growth SaaS company.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks (SOC 2, GDPR, ISO 27001) and secure development practices.
• Proven track record of driving innovation and reducing time-to-market for product releases.
• Strong background in cybersecurity and experience working alongside security-focused roles.
• Expertise in product development and a proven ability to execute technology roadmaps.
• Hands-on experience with modern cloud infrastructure, microservices architecture, and scalable SaaS solutions.
• Proficiency with tools like Jira, Confluence, and other project/product management platforms.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
