What You’ll Be Doing
As part of the Press Department, your responsibilities will include:
- Follow all procedures in place as they relate to Safety, Quality, and Productivity.
- Review job order specification tools such as proofs.
- Assist the Lead Press Operator in the evaluation of product.
- Loads, positions, and adjusts unprinted materials on holding fixtures or in equipment loading and feeding mechanisms.
- Assist with preventative maintenance and minor repair tasks.
- Monitors feeding, printing, and racking processes of presses to maintain specified operating levels and to detect malfunctions, making adjustments as necessary.
- Perform set-ups and operate printing press efficiently.
- Follow documented work instructions, monitoring materials, molds, equipment, cycle times and product quality.
- Keep Supervisor informed of activities and situations that will impact the achievement of company or department goals and objectives.
- Follow and comply with all safety, work rules and regulations. Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
- Performs preventative maintenance per press manufacturer specifications.
- Completes and maintains all required paperwork, records, documents (pull sample sheet, complete blue pressroom approval form, wet density data sheet, Hagen entry, etc.).
- A strong mechanical aptitude and an understanding of how machines work.
- A high level of energy and drive, paired with a commitment to accountability and integrity.
- The ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
- Availability to work the 3rd shift from Sunday night to Thursday morning, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM.

- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-3 years of related experience in a similar role, or a combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in using computerized systems to record operations.
- Experience operating, loading, and troubleshooting various machines in the printing industry.
