What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT - User Support Specialist position at Crystal D?
This position will expose you to all positions in the company and you will sometimes work closely with the managers, software developers, outside managed service providers and vendors to complete tasks and projects.
Key Responsibilities:
User Support & Training: Respond to and resolve user issues via phone, email, chat, and remote support to minimize downtime. Provide training and assistance to ensure users perform their jobs efficiently, including quick password resets
User Work Area Setup: Set up and maintain user workstations, ensuring proper IT equipment and a clean setup for optimal performance. Adjust work areas to support team collaboration
Application Maintenance: Ensure applications are up-to-date, install/configure software, and create training materials to help users navigate applications effectively
Device Management: Build, configure, and maintain workstations, laptops, printers, and mobile devices, ensuring they meet company standards. Keep devices secure with updates and patches
Phone System Maintenance: Collaborate with vendors to maintain phone systems, create phone users/extensions, and provide training for efficient phone usage

Qualifications:
- Associated degree in Information Technology or related field and 3 or more years of experience
- 3 years’ experience and/or training in a similar function doing some or all aspects of the essential duties and responsibilities listed above; or equivalent combination of education and experience in the above listed essential duties and responsibilities.
- Our business operates on EOS and the 4DX business operating systems. Previous experience with these systems is a plus but is not required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Access.
- On-the-job training may be required.
- Proficient in Windows 7, 10, and 11
- 3 years’ experience with Windows 2012, 2016, and/or 2019
- 5 years’ experience Windows SQL 2012, 2019, and/or 2022 administration and TSQL scripts
- Some SQL experience recommended, but not needed
- Knowledge of computer components, old and new and being familiar with building workstations using off the shelf components
- Some Linux administration recommended, but not needed
- Must keep a tidy workspace area
Work Schedule
The hours of work will fluctuate based on the needs of the business and the needs of our customers. Occasionally, this position will require work hours beyond the normal workday based on the demands of the position.

Salary:
$55-60K, Depending on experience
