RESPONSIBILITIES: The Student Services Clerk is a 10-month support staff position responsible for the successful operation of the student services office, supporting the student services team.
REPORTS TO: Assistant Principal of Student Services
REQUIREMENTS:
- Competency in bookkeeping, clerical, communication, and technological skills
- Ability to prioritize and problem-solve complex tasks
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to perform the clerical tasks appropriate for this position
- Physically capable of performing the appropriate duties associated with this position with or without accommodations
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, administration, and the board of education
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
- Assists student services secretary with student services office mail, telephone calls, visitors, and online calendars
- Maintains and updates Student Services office forms
- Processes transcript requests including those for college applications and logs the dates transcripts are sent in both Skyward and Naviance
- Assists student services secretary with the organization of testing materials
- Performs data entry, as requested by the Assistant Principal of Student Services or other building administrator, including downloading information from Skyward to create databases and inputting students course selections
- Assists registrar and student services secretary with student flow management
- Assists in entering incoming 9th-gradeinformation into the student information system
- Assists registrar with address changes
- Collects mail for the student services department and delivers accordingly
- Assists with bulk mailings
- Orders and maintains office supply inventory
- Communicates student services activities as appropriate
- Assists counselors with clerical tasks, including copying and filing of college and scholarship applications
- Acts as a proctor for examinations, including standardized tests
- Schedules conferences between parents and staff members
- Collects data and creates databases as relevant to student services
- Assists with the coordination of registration
- Coordinate the activities of the bookstore including textbook ordering and fee management
- Performs other tasks assigned by theAssistant Principal of Student Services
