Wage Range: 16.50 - 18.50 DOE tips
JOB SUMMARY
As a restaurant hostess/host of Crystal Mountain you have the most control over the flow of the restaurant. You are a key piece in the restaurant operation and direct the flow of service, working with the manager, the servers, and the kitchen on timing seatings in order to provide the best possible guest experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Greet guests as they enter and put them on a waiting list if necessary
Provide guest with menus and answer initial questions with excellent customer service
Seat guests at tables or direct to waiting areas
Operation of our online reservation system
Assign guests to tables they prefer, while keeping table rotation in mind so that servers receive the right number of customers
Engaging with the guest to ensure they’re happy with food and service
Respond to complaints and let manager on duty know
Knowledge of the menu: ingredients, allergens, preparation and presentation of the food
Assistance with other positions in the restaurant as needed and duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Ability to provide top notch customer service in a fast-paced environment
A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with all restaurant staff
Does high quality work with minimal supervision
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS-
This position is required to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays while in operation.
Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 20 pounds on an occasional basis.
Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other common office equipment on a constant basis.
Auditory and visual acuity to operate computers, phones, mobile devices and basic office equipment on a constant basis.
Ability to work for extended periods of time bending, reaching, and speaking on a constant basis.
Ability to work for extended periods of time standing, walking, kneeling, pushing and pulling on an occasional basis.
Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees.
