Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for always delivering exceptional customer service and patient care.
2. Creates a comfortable and welcoming environment for refractive patients and visitors
3. Demonstrates positive attitude; and ability to handle all situations in a professional manner
4. Maintain practice dress standards and contribute equitably to maintaining the cleanliness of the practice
5. Responsible for taking calls and scheduling consultations. Inputting information into database and keeping it updated
6. Provide appropriate follow up and proper correspondence required to maintain patient relationships with practice
7. Maintain working knowledge of the appointment and medical record systems. Book appointments accurately and appropriately. i.e. duration of appointments and knowledge of computer system
8. Counsel patients by assessing patient needs, financial counseling, and scheduling refractive consultations.
9. Ensure all paperwork and documentation has been completed.
10. Receive and secure payments from patients before procedure.
11. Assist with vision checks and documenting chief complaint for follow-up appointments
12. Potential for future diagnostic testing and laser operation certification training
13. Work collaboratively with refractive surgery team to ensure optimal patient flow
14. Assist as needed in the execution of marketing and business development efforts, including internal and external strategies, goals and objectives
15. Carry out instructions given by management
