The Logistics Customer Sales Specialist is responsible for creating a book of business and creating new customer sales for the brokerage division in a 3PL environment of an Asset Based Carrier.

Responsibilities
- Identify logistics and shipping personnel and establish points of contact as well as building, maintaining and strengthening those relationships.
- Build a portfolio of business by selling freight services in multiple modes, Full Truckload, Liquid Bulk, Flatbed, Reefer, and Specialized shipments.
- Provide exemplary customer service in a logistics environment of a 3PL Brokerage.
- Oversee customer operations on accounts and communicate directly with transportation and logistics departments on their day-to-day shipments.
- Accurately, and effectively price, negotiate, and win spot freight and contractual freight via RFPs.
- Create opportunity for relationship building by identifying new leads and contacts in shipping and transportation.
- Create and use a customer lead list targeting growth accounts.
- Build-higher level customer relations within the transportation industry to gain business.
- Cover shipments as necessary.
- Review customer accounts receivable (AR) and ensure payment is made.
- Actively work to achieve and exceed quarterly and yearly goals including quotas, referral metrics, and sales goals.
- Collaborate with Director, Brokerage Services regarding sales strategies.
- Perform additional duties as required.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Experience using Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Sales experience required.
- Demonstrated organizational and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to work independently.
- Demonstrated skill to see a project to completion.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
