Responsibilities
Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Assist in managing Capital and Major Maintenance projects under the general guidance of the assigned Engineer.
- Responsible for assuring compliance with contract and regulatory safety requirements on project sites.
- Create weekly reports and distribution, including commitment/invoice tracking, RFIs, and Submittals
- Support DCAS Capital Project Department report generation
- Compile and create Change Order packages for Comptroller office submission and approval.
- Manage and submit all reviewed contract document to RE and EOC for further review and approval
- Review/track progress payments for contractors
- Coordinate, review, and assess contract submittals
- Review inspector's daily work reports for accurate reporting and timesheets
- Prepare monthly reports on the progress of assigned projects
- Provide as-needed support to all facilities.
Requirements
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
- 5 years of experience in managing capital projects.
- Able to be onsite 5 days a week in Brooklyn, NY.
- OSHA-10 and OSHA-30 certifications required.
- Experience in the use of Excel, Word, Bluebeam, Access PowerPoint and other productivity and presentation software preferred.
- Superior oral and written communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills.
