What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistics Coordinator position at CSA Transportation?
CSA Transportation offers LTL & Truckload services for our customer base, primarily focused on domestic & cross-border transportation. We are currently seeking a Logistics Coordinator for our terminal in Grapevine, TX.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Familiarity with Common Carrier tariffs, accessorial charges, FAKs, freight classes, and NMFCs
- At least one year of experience with tracking of LTL shipments and scheduling pickups on carriers’ websites
- Knowledge of brokering truckloads, negotiating rates, carrier relationship development
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
- Effective and demonstrated written and oral communication skills including exceptional phone skills
- A high degree of accuracy and attention to details for data entry
- General math and PC skills with a proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Previous experience with the MercuryGate TMS and/or Truckmate or ability to learn new software quickly
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of one year experience dispatching freight with a good working knowledge of the transportation industry
- Minimum education, High School Diploma or equivalent
